Lori is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who has worked professionally with animals for 25 years.

Her vet tech experience includes General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, ICU patient care, Dentistry, and Anesthesia with Dogs, Cats, Birds, Horses, Small Mammals, and Reptiles. She is a member of NAVTA, PSI, and SVBT to remain up-to-date with current information in veterinary medicine, animal behavior, handling, training, and care.

She is an Elite Level Fear Free Certified Professional with individual certifications in Small Animal (Dog and Cat), Avian, and Equine.

Lori began training dogs professionally in 2007 after receiving requests from the community in response to her desensitization, counterconditioning, and socialization work with her brilliant border collie, Joey. She takes time to get to know each pet and tailors training to their individual needs.

Her passion for birds and their behaviors began during her early career. From safe handling, through education education in diet and husbandry, Lori communicates effectively with both birds and their owners to help develop healthy bonds through flock behaviors, basic obedience, and foraging techniques.

Lori has been riding horses for over 35 years and has competed across hunters/jumpers, equitation, dressage, competitive trail riding, and horsemanship events. She transitioned to gaited horses, trail obstacles, and gaited dressage since moving to West Michigan. She teaches foundations in dressage to both horses and riders regardless of breed or discipline to create balance, move forward, and embrace track from the arena to the trail.

In her downtime, Lori enjoys trail riding, camping, reading, crocheting, crafting, and spending time with loved ones.
